OUR STORY
Starting in 1977, I was hired on with a painting contractor on the ground level learning the most important basics of the trade……..Preparation.
After the first year of scarcely touching a brush, I continued to learn the nuances of the trade and by 1980 had ventured out on my own.
In those beginning days, I would have painted a mailbox if asked and as time went on jobs got larger and larger. During those formative years the schooling was generally known as the school of hard knocks. If mistakes were made whether they were from too low of a price or a mistake was made in performance all jobs were always completed and/or corrected with a smile on our faces and a commitment to always going beyond the customers expectations.
By 1986 it was absolutely necessary to have a contractor’s license. With the obtaining of a license came more opportunity and the need to grow. Today having been in the industry for over 30 years, we have gone from painting mailbox’s to painting mansions and everything else around and in-between. Ever since our beginnings Ray Smith Painting has provided the utmost in quality of painting services in the Los Angeles area.

OUR GOALS
Our goals are to continue to grow in performance & knowledge of the trade. Most recently we have changed from just being “Ray Smith Painting” to “Ray Smith Painting & Son”. With the addition of my son to the business there is an infusion of energy, excitement and desire to be even better than where we have come from.
